ALICE IN CHAINS RAISE MONEY FOR PHILIPPINES TYPHOON VICTIMS

A large part of the Philippines suffered a major backlash when typhoon Haiyan hit the lands in November last year, killing more than 6,000 people and causing hundreds of millions in damage throughout Southeast Asia.

American rock band ALICE IN CHAINS are helping raise money for the typhoon victims as part of their annual Alice in chains & friends fantasy football league charity auction, the band has partnered with non profit organisation MUSIC FOR RELIEF to auction one-of-a-kind items and memorabilia. All of the auction proceeds will go toward helping the survivors and aiding music for relief in delivery medicines. emergency medical services, sanitation and disease prevention efforts to the 12 million people impacted by the storm.

Some of the items in the auction include original paintings by Alice in chains vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell and System of a down’s Serj Tankian , a trip for two to NYC to attend the Porsche design fall/winter 2014 Runway show during New York fashion week with Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and a custom Gibson les Paul  guitar signed by Green day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.

Other items you can bid on are a Fender acoustic guitar and acoustic bass autographed by Alice in chains Mike Inez, a pantera “vulgar display of power” player singed by Vinnie Pual , a limited edition METALLICA vinyl box set and drum head signed by the band and many other collectibles.
