Odious, a band from Alexandria, Egypt is set to release their second full length album Skin Age on Friday, 13th November. Their first album is called Mirror of Vibrations.
If you are into Symphonic or black metal, this band is for you.
They have been working on their new album for the last couple of years starting from January 2013. They have put in a huge amount of effort to get this album done and they are really happy with the final output. Here’s what they had to say on the recording of the album:
We decided to take it up to the next level and have some real orchestral parts in our music. We took a step forward and contacted the FILMharmonic Orchestra from Prague and the recording was successfully done in amazingly short amount time. On the other hand the vocals, guitars and drums were all recorded at DevaSoundz Studio in Greece with the co-operation of Christos Antoniou (SepticFlesh, Chaostar) and Fotis Benardo (Ex-SepticFlesh, SiXforNinE), which was a great honor knowing/working with such respectful and professional musicians.
All oriental instruments were recorded here in Egypt, Alexandria at Teatro studio with the help of Ayman Masoad (Massar Egbari) who did an amazing job to prepare for the mixing and mastering processes. And finally the mixing and mastering of Skin Age was done at Studio Fredman in Sweden which was one hell of an experience to work with such a titan.
They have also released a single called Dungeon Keys out of the upcoming album and they are so glad with the feedback so far.
Listen and be keen for November 13th, Skin Age would see the light in a matter of days.
I love Septic Flesh. They are a great band and for them to work on this album by Odious makes me extra pumped for it. Can’t wait!
