South African band Firepool set to release début full length album

Heard of Firepool? No? Well, they are a 5-piece experimental rock collective hailing from South Africa that have been hard at work for the last year creating a full-length studio quality album. The album is a concept album that raises questions of the highly complex individual place in society, asking not only what it means to be human, but also what makes us human. They also try to bring to light certain points and social-political issues that they feel every human should be asking themselves in the favour of living a more awakened and peaceful existence. They are currently in the last stretch of the recording phase, and should have a full album ready for release by early March net year. Following their album release, they’ll be launching a full on attack on the Cape Town music scene, so keep an eye and ear for Firepool.

Watch this Space!!

The album was recorded in a thatch-roof rondavel out on a farm near Kraaifontein, somehwhere in the South African hinterlands. I’m sure you want to hear what they sound like!

Well they have a teaser of a track Scarecrows. According to Firepool:

The quality of the teaser recording is by no means a representation of the quality of the tracks we are currently working on

There you go!

The scarecrows teaser is just a recording from their pre-production sessions. It is one of the 15 tracks that they are currently recording. The teaser just serves to give listeners a bit of an insight into what is coming.

The lyrics of the album Feel Per Minute were mostly written by their lead guitarist Gareth Mostert, and their  drummer Adriaan Jordan.

Name is Austin, peeps call me Austinrock. I like to interact with bands. You DO NOT have my permission to utilize any of my profile information nor any of the content contained here \m/{*¿*}\m/ ...THERE...OK. I'm a huge Melodeath metal fan. I'm proud to be a METALHEAD. Metal isn't for everybody, it's for the chosen few. Most friends I have tell me they don't understand why I like metal, that it is too much noise. They just going to have to listen beyond the noise and the truth is they don't have to figure it out, it is either in you or it isn't. Metal is my morning coffee and it's my night sleeping pills...
