Best New Band 2015 – 1st Annual AudioInferno African Rock Music Awards

Can’t be easy you know. New kid in school, your parent dropping you off at the school parking lot. You turn around and wave them goodbye. You are positive because you know it’s a new challenge and you can fit in well. You can do this you tell yourself.

Thing don’t go according to plan. The kids in your new school are all monsters. And they don’t even hide it. They pick on you relentlessly. Make fun of your hair, your clothes even your accent. Then there’s Mitch “Bucky” Truman. The school bully who’s taking a liking to you, your lunch money isn’t safe anymore and the beat downs are scheduled. Right after school at the playground in front of everyone to see.

Kids can be so cruel.

I imagine this is how a new band sees it, either that or I need to stop watching cartoons. It isn’t easy being the new kid on the block. New style, new energy, new drive. People might even call your band “new school,” but you and the guys don’t care. All you want is to play music and get some love from your fans and stay true to them every time you step on stage. The bands in this category have shown a lovely commitment to their fans and they give back. Some have only released one single but they have also shown promise, others have already established themselves this year and are doing a mighty fine job staying grounded while having as much fun as the fans and we here at AudioInferno are.

Without any further hold up, here are the nominees for Best New Band 2015:

  1. DevilSpeak
  2. Goat Throne
  3. Orchard
  4. Alpha Sequence
  5. Above Atlas

Seen any band you like here? See anyone you know? See anyone that sounds way too cool for you not to know? Then maybe you should look them up, why don’t ya? For more on the awards, you are already at the right place but if you’re still unsure, go here.
