Vocalist Of The Year 2015 – 1st Annual AudioInferno African Rock Music Awards

Vocalist of the Year

FACT! I’ve got the chops to sustain an insane vocal range along the line of a typical Heavy Metal band. I’m thinking along the line of James Hetfield, yeah, along that line. However, you won’t hear me sing, EVER. Unless on karaoke night, where you’ll probably see me requesting Thin Lizzy’s Whiskey in a Jar. Ah the good times: you can sing anything when you have beer in you. Now one thing all these vocalists have in common is this, they are better than me and they’ve all shown the capacity and range that proves their talent and skills. In some cases, we can say they are the band. And in other cases we can say they hold the band. Whichever way you see it, any band, local or international will be lucky to have them in their line-up.

Enough talk, here are the nominees for Best Vocals 2015:

Danjuma of 1LastAutograph

Nigeria’s very own growling extraordinaire. This guy may be new but he’s no push over when it comes to getting guttural. See ehn!

Sonja of Terminatryx

Ah, Sonja. Her voice never fails to send chills down my spine. This is one South African siren I would gladly allow lull me to my doom…

Murray Ellison of 40 Day Journey

Murray Ellison of 40 Day Journey

The lead singer of South African band, 40 Day Journey, this is one guy with amazing vocal chords!

Zaher Zorgati of Myrath

bataclan myrath

Tunisian band, Myrath are one of the older Metal bands here in Africa and while Zaher wasn’t with them from the beginning, he has proved himself a capable voice since joining!

David Mburu of Last Year’s Tragedy

David Mburu of Last Year's Tragedy

We love David here at AudioInferno. He is an amazing singer and we always look forward to his screaming vocals.

Great vocalists here. Can’t go wrong with these bands, either. Who’s gonna win? I don’t know. Hold on a bit till we announce the winner of this category! For more on the awards, you are already at the right place but if you’re still unsure, go here.
