Austin: Share a Spider experience?
Had a few occasions where rain spiders have been found in my house, close to my head. This one ocassion it jumped off the wall towards me. I screamed like a little girl. It was the size of my hand.
Mark Ivey is more terrified of bananas and have a phobia toward them.
Austin: So why the banana terrification?
Cant look at them, hate the smell. Cant touch them or be near them. My family hid banana under my pillow and chased me with them.
Mark Ivey used to play provincial soccer.
Austin: At what age did you start playing provincial soccer?
I was about 13 or 14. I played both at school and club level. I am a huge fan of Tottenham Hotspur. Ironically their sponsor is AiA!.
Mark Ivey band that helped him cross over into metal was none other than Bon Jovi in the days when they used to rock!
Austin: Describe how you felt when you first listened to Bon jovi and how did the transiting of metal happened?
My brother liked the glam metal bands of the 80s. I liked their earlier albums which led me to go into heavier bands like Metallica, Pantera etc. Now prefer extreme metal but always have a soft spot for heavy rock bands.
Mark Ivey first metal cd ever purchased was White Zombie – Astro creep 2000.
Austin: Where did you purchase your first metal, The White Zombies?
Think it was a shop called Look n Listen on East Rand Mall. Got that and Megadeth
