Clay releases new single Cheap Happiness

ARMA Rock Goddess winner, Clay has dropped a new single after almost a year of silence. The track is titled Cheap Happiness. Clay has done a lot of shows recently and it’s nice to see some new music from her. She partners again with usual collaborator Coldflames on this pop-infused feel good track. The song is catchy and is sure to get you tapping your feet along to it (or head banging, too, we don’t judge).

The Song:

Pretty rad, right? We asked the Nigerian alternative/pop rock act a few questions:

AudioInferno: First of all, it’s nice to get a new song from you after so long. I was wondering how it feels to finally have a new song out?

Clay: It feels good, to do this again. Although, I’m sorry to be away for so long. I promise it won’t happen again.

AudioInferno: This song goes a slightly different direction from some of your newer songs although it does call to mind earlier music like “Anwuli (Be Happy).” Is this indicative of what to expect from you going forward?

Clay: All I can say is expect good music from Clay in future.

AudioInferno: Will there be an EP or album release in the near future?

Clay: There’s an album in the works!

AudioInferno: Oh wow, that’s awesome. Looking forward to that. So, what can we expect from Clay in the coming New Year?

Clay: Tours, shows, good music and awesomeness.

Well, there you have it from the Potatoes singer. In addition to dropping the song, we also get a lyric video! Check it out.

We are looking forward to Clay’s upcoming album and will be dishing out all the details as they come along. Be sure to stay tuned! Support your local rock acts and bands by buying their music and merchandise and also attending shows. Rock on \m/
