Southern Wild release début album ” Lead Role In A Classic Horror”

Southern Wild is a four-piece Rock band from Cape Town, South Africa. The band consists of David van Vuuren (Vocals, Guitar), Julian van Rensburg (Guitar), Alex Smillie (Bass) and Dylan Hunt on Drums.

They have just finished the recording of their début album entitled ‘Lead Role in a Classic Horror’ at Popsicle Studios, which has been released on all digital platforms including iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Deezer and Google Play. The album promises a journey consisting of many layers and paths to its listener, much like a wafer biscuit car on an eight-lane highway. Every song within their set provides something unique, with each piece of music standing alone.

Deezer has also just endorsed Southern Wild as one of their 2017 Deezer Next artists, an initiative which allows Deezer users, across the world, to discover a hand-picked choice of new, emerging artists. Deezer Next will promote these artists to new audiences and enable music lovers to discover the next generation of stars.

It has been available for exclusive stream through Deezer from the 12th of May, and all other platforms (for digital download) from the 19th of May, onward. The first weekend saw the album being streamed over 6000 times on Deezer. Check out the link HERE

Heavily focused on feel and progression, this band gives absolutely everything each time they hit the stage. This same energy has been translated onto their début album.

They have been well documented by some of SA’s most relevant music bloggers and are in the planning stages of their national tour to promote the release of ‘Lead Role in a Classic Horror’.

The official album launch date is on the 30th of June 2017 at the German Club in Cape Town. It promises to be a memorable event, with some of SA’s rock favourites on the bill.

Name is Austin, peeps call me Austinrock. I like to interact with bands. You DO NOT have my permission to utilize any of my profile information nor any of the content contained here \m/{*¿*}\m/ ...THERE...OK. I'm a huge Melodeath metal fan. I'm proud to be a METALHEAD. Metal isn't for everybody, it's for the chosen few. Most friends I have tell me they don't understand why I like metal, that it is too much noise. They just going to have to listen beyond the noise and the truth is they don't have to figure it out, it is either in you or it isn't. Metal is my morning coffee and it's my night sleeping pills...
