XavlegbmaofffassssitimiwoamndutroabcwapwaeiippohfffX. Yes, you read right that was not a typo. XavlegbmaofffassssitimiwoamndutroabcwapwaeiippohfffX is the acronym for a band signed under Slam Worldwide. With their full name being “Acidic Vaginal Liquid Explosion Generated By Mass Amounts Of Filthy Fecal Fisting And Sadistic Septic Syphilic Sodomy Inside The Infected Maggot Infested Womb Of A Molested Nun Dying Under The Roof Of A Burning Church While A Priest Watches And Ejaculates In Immense Perverse Pleasure Over His First Fresh Fetus” often also shortened as “Acidic Vaginal Liquid Explosion”, “Acidic Liquid Explosion“and “Xavleg“.
The band is a Goregrind/Grindcore/Deathcore group from Durban, South Africa that has really started to gather a cult following from the brutal metal underground scene since the release of their EP “Gore” in 2016 that has garnered over 750,000 views on YouTube.
With the crowd-pleasing track “Dicks out for Harambe” their definitive outbreak song as it focuses on solidarity with the slain gorilla “Harambe”. The affiliation of the band with Memes and their aura of ridiculousness have made Xavleg to be teased as “Memecore” and it is beginning to stick.
The band is fronted by Duncan Bentley “Disciple Sperm Splatter” (vocals), with Bryon Banana “Lord Necrotic Gore Bong” and Kris Xenopoulos “Captain Cock Corrosion” both on Instrumentals. Duncan Bentley is fast becoming one of the biggest names in the Grindcore/Deathgrind scene especially for his association with Vulvodynia, Vomit Cake, Nervectomy, The Elite Five, Harvest Misery and Wormhole. With Vulvodynia being the more critically acclaimed, this 23-year-old vocalist is a machine. He is also known for his covers and features with brutal bands like Infant Annihilator and Operation Cunt Destroyer.
Kris Xenopoulos is also known for performing with Carnage Carnival, Contrast the Water, Grim Lake, Nervectomy, Vomit Cake and recently his new Prog project Technopath. The pedigree of this South African trio is extraordinary and it’s obvious the sky is an understatement as a limit.
Invoke the Smoke
Debut album Gore 2 is due before the end of the year and single “Invoke the Smoke” from the record brutally continued from where they left off on “Gore”. But it’s a little too obvious that the brutality of the new single dipped compared to the likes of “Dicks Out For Harambe” and “Gore”, it appears like bits of the slam were stripped off the song with its clearer lyrics and slower pace. The pig squeal is still brutal enough to leave you typing multiple pig snout emojis. Duncan Bentley squeals “Life is shit and we’re all gonna die so might as well grab that bong and come get high” in this tribute to getting high on weed as the song ends and it’s incredibly catchy.
My hope is that other songs from the new release will be much more brutal than “Invoke the Smoke” because of honesty what we want to hear is endless “Breeeeeeeeeee”.
