Clay is a one-person conscious/inspirational contemporary Rock pop alternative Nigerian band originating from the city of Lagos. Composed of Bianca Adanna Okorocha as Clay(singer song writer and guitarist),she aspires to make music that is not only unique and pleasing…but also worthy of a listen any time of the day, any day of the year, and any year of the ages…a genre so wonderfully vague you will have to define it for yourself.

Citing influences such as Avril Lavigne, The Cranberries, Alanis Morisette, Onyeka Onwenu; she plays a distinct, but instantly familiar take on a rock pop flavor that has been described as “fresh” and “a seamless integration of so many styles.”

Clay’s musical escapades began in her early high school years when she sang and danced in both the church and the school choir. she began dabbling into rock after she heard Alanis Morisette on radio , though she has being writing songs that tend towards rock as early as 12.

She began recording her own songs when she met COLDFLAMES at a studio session while recording a hook for a rap-star “Rez tha Poet”. According to Coldflames , he was in awe when she opened her mouth.

Clay has released singles, Ogadsinma , Anwuli , dancing in the sun and her Latest “Lemanya”.
She also has super covers of popular Asa’s ‘jailer’, Micheal jackson’s ‘heal the world’ and wizkid’s ‘I love my baby’ which propelled her to the mainstream light.

Clays achievements include:  a prominent nomination for ‘Ogadisinma’ at the Nigerian music video awards (NMVA).She also  won best recording of the year 2012 for ‘Dancing in the sun’ at the Top Nigerian Music Award(TNMA).
Clay has been dubbed ‘the queen’ of Nigerian rock music, being the  most popular Nigerian rock artiste, the name stuck.

Clay’s broad musical tastes can be glimpsed in the variety of sounds she makes. From a Rock song to an Indie-pop ballad, her christian background heavily influences her lyrics.
